"And
knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake
out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than
when we believed. The night is far spent, the day
is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works
of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light"
(Romans 13:11-12).
With
this Scripture in the mind, the Church of God in
Newark, Ohio, began the endeavor of printing a newsletter
to further the cause of the Gospel. This newsletter
was The Gospel Trumpeter.
Realizing
the enormous responsibility and undertaking of this
task, the congregation was encouraged by the words
of Paul, who wrote, "With men it is impossible,
but not with God: for with God all things are possible"
(Mark 10:27).
